This Federal Government Department focusses on the safeguarding and quality of programs supporting vulnerable Australians. They need several competent assessors who can start asap assessing incoming cases.

**Your new role**

The role of Assessor is a temporary assignment through Hays at an APS5 Level, for an initial period of seven months. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Review and assess risk within incoming queries
- Determine appropriate actions for cases within reasonable timeframes
- Manage and close out a substantive caseload
- Perform follow-up contact with approved services and providers
- Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

**What you'll need to succeed***
- Demonstrated strong communication skills - written and verbal
- Experience in report writing
- Demonstrated previous experience in risk-based assessment or ability to acquire quickly
- Ability to contribute productively in a team environment
- Ability to manage sensitive and at times confronting information

**What you'll get in return**

You will receive an attractive hourly rate + superannuation, full time hours, based in the city. Possibility for some work from home once kpi's are consistently met. An initial 7 month contract.
