**About the Role**

As a Stroke Consultant in our Neurology unit, you will play a vital role in delivering best practice care to patients experiencing stroke and other neurological conditions. Your responsibilities will include providing high-quality inpatient stroke services on a pro rata FTE basis, as well as offering on-call support for both CALHN and the SA/NT Telestroke service outside of regular hours. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive timely and effective care, significantly impacting their recovery journey.

In addition to direct patient care, you will contribute to ongoing improvements in hospital systems and protocols. You will engage in clinical research and have the opportunity to mentor and teach junior staff at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. **About You**

We’re looking for a dedicated Stroke Consultant who meets the following key requirements:

- **Qualifications**: MBBS or equivalent with appropriate Specialist Qualifications, registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority.
- **Clinical Excellence**: Proven high standard of clinical practice in stroke care, demonstrating integrity and commitment to quality improvement.
- **Team Player**: Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment, with adaptability to changing conditions and a proactive approach to challenges.
- **Experience & Knowledge**: Recent experience in a Stroke Fellowship or Consultant role, with expertise in multimodal imaging and involvement in clinical trials, alongside a solid understanding of contemporary medical practices and patient rights.
