Coffee Roaster

**The Role**:
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trained in all aspects of coffee roasting and production. You’ll work closely with our roasting team to learn the craft of roasting, understand green coffee, and develop the skills needed to create consistently high-quality roasted coffee.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Roast coffee on our Giesen W30 coffee roaster
- Weigh, bag, and label roasted coffee for wholesale and retail orders
- Help with production scheduling and inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the roastery
- Learn about green coffee sourcing, roasting profiles, and cupping (tasting)
- Support general day-to-day operations of the roastery

**What We’re Looking For**:

- A genuine passion for coffee and eagerness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physically fit - able to lift bags of coffee (up to 20kg) and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
- No previous roasting experience required (training will be provided), but hospitality or coffee industry experience is a bonus

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Work Location: In person
