**The Department**

The Alfred Orthotic Department offers a broad range of experience in this busy environment across a range of fields including Trauma, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Plastics and Burns providing acute orthotic treatment and long term orthotic management to improve clients' quality of life. The Orthotic and Prosthetic Department is located at The Alfred, but also provides services to Caulfield Hospital, Sandringham Hospital and receives private referrals.

**The Role**

The Orthotist in this position would be an integral team member of the Orthotic Department and would work closely with other allied health professionals along with the Orthopaedic, Neurosurgery and Trauma medical teams.

The position may involve work at any of the 3 Alfred Health sites, The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham hospitals.

**Skills** **& Qualifications Required**
- Experience in inpatient orthotic management
- Excellent ability to manage a clinical caseload
- Work collaboratively
- Provide patient-centred care
- Provide education and supervision to staff and students
- Eligible for Australian Orthotic & Prosthetic Association membership
