Kippa-Ring State School is making a very positive contribution to the education of children in our community. It is well equipped and organised to assist our students to maximise their potential, and to become active, productive and fulfilled citizens of our global future.
Currently, a 'Positive Learning Centre' (PLC) exists in a building attached to Kippa-Ring State School.
The PLC caters to primary school students who have disengaged from their school and learning affecting their future opportunities and frequently also affecting the good order and management of their mainstream primary school.
The PLC supports the students and their families to reengage with their mainstream school through a focus on developing skills in self-regulation, positive social interactions and skills for learning.
The Curriculum and Pedagogy focus for the Teacher - Primary - Inclusion (Behaviour) will be: Implementing the curriculum as specified in the P-12 curriculum, assessment and reporting framework: - e.mbedding personal and social capabilities in self-awareness; self-management; social awareness and social management
- building the foundations for wellbeing and lifelong learning
- enacting a pedagogical framework that reflects the Pedagogical Framework expectations and principles.Pedagogy that enhances wellbeing: - builds positive relationships between teacher and students
- is responsive to the individual needs of students.

- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
