Manages the movement of livestock, hides, and finished products. JBS Carriers, the transportation arm of JBS Australia, supports JBS operations through an efficient logístical structure that optimises everything from the transportation of cattle to finished products and export containers. The fleet operates under NHVAS accreditation and includes 29 prime movers and 75 trailers that travel a combined seven million kilometres per year.

**About the role**:
An opportunity for an experienced and capable logistics professional to join JBS’s head office team, conveniently located at Riverview. You’ll work autonomously within the Logistics Department. The successful applicant will be an individual who is prepared to show leadership qualities and provide support across the business.

**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Develop & implement/maintain an effective legal compliance program;
- Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them;
- NHVAS: Internal reviews & Audits & ensure modules are updated and records are kept and filed;
- Educate and train employees on regulation and industry practices;
- COR Management;
- Safe food accreditation;
- Gearbox entry of Fitness for duties, Pre-start checks and kilometers travelled;
- WHS management including Risk Assessments, Training and Return to Work;

**About you**:

- Knowledge of Transport Systems including Gearbox and Regulations including Fatigue, Chain of Responsibility and Mass and Maintenance under NHVR;
- Ability to keep abreast of internal/external standards;
- OHS accredited or willing to obtain;
- Flexible to take calls as required on the weekend.

**Must have**:

- Experience in transport or logistics;
- Experience working in compliance
- And or OHS accredited or willing to obtain
- HC or MC licence an advantage but not essential
