Experienced Kitchenhand

Lux Foundry is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchenhand to join our team.

You will support the chefs and kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and contribute to an efficiently run kitchen.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and food storage areas
- Assist with basic food preparation (e.g. peeling, chopping, portioning)
- Unpack, store, and organise food deliveries
- Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling according to health and safety guidelines
- Clean and sanitise work surfaces, floors, and equipment regularly
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a kitchen hand or in a similar role
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically fit and capable of standing for long periods and lifting moderately heavy items
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices (preferred but not required)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $23.23 - $40.26 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 25 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Morning shift
