_**Role**_

RDS are currently seeking experienced Disability Support workers who are genuine in their desire to help others live their best life, people who are enthusiastic, can work independently and in a team.

You will be providing support for women only share homes in the penrith, windsor and Ryde areas and surrounding suburbs.

Shifts will include mainly morning and day shifts with some afternoons and overnights. We also have emergency and on call work.

The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team with a person centred approach to residents in group/share homes.

RDS is looking for people who are reliable, punctual and available to work different shift times and days including nights and weekends. People who also take work health and safety seriously.

In providing support to people with intellectual/physical disabilities tasks will include:

- Personal care including hygiene needs
- Medication administration
- Manual handling
- Use of hoist, shower chair, wheelchair
- General domestic duties
- Preparing meals
- Driving residents to appointments, day programs and outings
- Support with assistive technology
- Social support
- **Skills and experience**_

For an applicant to be considered for the role, you must have the following:

- 6 months experience in supporting clients with a disability
- Certificate III in disability or working towards
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent time management skills
- A smart phone
- Good computer skills
- A current First Aid Certificate issued within last 3 years.
- CPR certificate issued within last 12 months
- A current FULL NSW driver's license - Must be Australian drivers licence
- NDIS worker screening check or willingness to obtain before starting
- 2 contactable references
- Eligible to work in Australia

Riverlands Disability Support play an important role in the provision of casual support staff to NDIS registered providers.

We have been providing quality staff to the disability sector since 2002.

**Salary**: $36.40 per hour

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS worker screening check (preferred)
- Australian Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
