ELICOS Teacher wanted for classes in Burwood.

We currently engage teachers for the following types of work:
**About the role**

Availability for a evening or weekend schedule required, with the possibility of additional classes and private lessons.

**Key Duties**

1. Teach engaging, fun and interesting English lessons

2. Complete student attendance records and class teaching records daily

3. Assess students using college assessments

4. Motivate, inspire and encourage students to learn/participate in lessons

5. Actively supervise student activities, offering assistance and guidance at all times.

6. Assist in assessment validation and moderation

7. Adhere to college policies and procedures and support college initiatives

8. Assist Head Teacher with the development of Teacher and Student resources as required.

9. Keep up to date with all current course information and promote and disseminate this information when necessary.

10. Complete attendance, fill in cover sheets, result/assessment sheets or any other administrative duties accurately and within the timelines specified

11. Teach Clubs/Electives as required

12. Treat all staff/students with respect and showing cultural sensitivity at all times

13. Other duties as directed by management

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required**

1. Degree or 3 year tertiary equivalent plus recognised TESOL qualification such as:

- _**CELTA, Cert IV TESOL, Trinity TESOL Certificate or**_
- _**Post Grad Cert TESOL, Post Grad Diploma TESOL, Masters in TESOL or**_
- _**Bachelor of Education with ESL Method or**_
- _**Graduate Diploma in Education with ESL Method**_

2. Experience in training English Students at a range of different levels

3. Experience in assessing students and providing feedback

4. Experience in developing course curricula, planning and delivery

5. Experience in giving appropriate feedback sensitively

6. Demonstrated ability to use initiative

7. Ability to work in a team

**Skills and Experience preferred**

1. International teaching experience

2. Post Graduate Diploma or Masters in TESOL
