**The Company**

Our client is the market leader in their sector of the food industry and have multiple sites across Australia and New Zealand. With a commanding brand presence and continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse and Distributions Manager to join their site in Sydney's west.

**The Role**

Reporting to the site Manager, your responsibilities will include;
- Driving the day to day operations of the site
- Meeting all time sensitive deadlines with internal and external customers
- Effectively lead a large team across 3 shifts
- Continuously identify areas of improvement to ensure supply chain excellence is met
- Drive corrective and preventative Safety Systems with a focus on behavioural safety
- Monitor all teams performance and ensure team targets are confidently met
- Develop clear succession plans along with training plans
- Ensure all operational compliance meets companies standard procedures and any issues are resolved effectively
- Prioritise all implementation of OHS and quality assurance practises
- Overlook and manage both Warehouse and Production team, focusing on areas of continuous improvement driving cost reduction and improving efficiencies through clear communication and target plan
- Ensuring compliance of the company COR and all policies/legislation

**Your Background**

In order to be successful in this role you will have;
- Experience in a similar leadership position of at least 4 years +
- Previous experience in managing large teams of 60+
- Expert analytical skills with strong capabilities of working with large amounts of data and transferring it into meaningful information
- Have a passion of continuous improvement focusing on efficiencies, reliability and safety
- Strong and assertive management style with the ability to oversee a large team and to create a collaborative working environment
- Strong problem solving and communication skills is a must
- Proven track record in continuous improvement
- Proven track record in achieving productivity agendas and depart business plans
- Familiar with 5S, TPM,and LEAN/Six Sigma is desirable
- Strong understanding of GMP and HACCP in an operational environment
- FMCG or pharmaceutical experience would be desirable
