Head Barista

**Key Responsibilities**

**Coffee Quality & Preparation**
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages to café standards.
- Adjust grinder and machine settings daily to ensure consistency.
- Maintain a deep knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and latte art.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all beverages.

**Team Leadership & Training**
- Supervise and mentor baristas, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Train new staff in coffee preparation, customer service, and equipment use.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

**Operations & Efficiency**
- Ensure the barista station is fully stocked, clean, and organised.
- Monitor daily operations of the coffee section to maintain speed and quality.
- Oversee scheduling and support the Café Manager with rostering barista shifts.

**Customer Experience**
- Deliver friendly, professional, and engaging customer service.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing the café’s values and standards.

**Equipment & Maintenance**
- Conduct daily calibration and cleaning of coffee machines and grinders.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and liaise with suppliers or technicians when needed.
- Ensure all health, hygiene, and safety standards are followed.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Senior Barista / Head Barista.
- Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, milk texturing, and latte art.
- Experience supervising or training junior staff.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for coffee.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.95 - $40.80 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
