**Position Overview**

We seek a versatile tradesperson skilled in **plastering**, **painting,** **minor carpentry**, **general labor**, and **trade assistance**. This role suits professionals who thrive in fast-paced settings, adapt to diverse tasks, and uphold Victoria’s building standards under the _Building Act 1993._

Peluso Group is a well-established construction company with 30 years of experience delivering diverse projects throughout Victoria. Operating with three distinct brands - Peluso Building, Master Menders Building & Restoration, and Master Seal Solutions - we offer a wide range of services in the construction sector. Master Menders Building & Restoration is our specialist division focusing on insurance, warranty, and rectification work, demonstrating strong relationships with major insurance companies

**Key Responsibilities**

**Painting**
- Prepare surfaces for painting (e.g., sanding, filling holes, priming).
- Ensure clean, even coats and touch up imperfections.

**Plastering**

**Carpentry**
- Perform minor tasks: framing, door/window installation, trim work, and cabinetry assembly.
- Safely operate power tools (saws, drills) and hand tools.

**General Labor**
- Assist with site setup, material handling, and demolition.
- Adhere to WorkSafe Victoria’s safety protocols

**Trade Assistance**
- Support licensed tradespeople (electricians, plumbers) with measurements, material prep, and equipment maintenance.

**Additional Duties**
- Interpret basic plans compliant with the _Building Code of Australia (BCA)_
- Collaborate with teams to meet deadlines under the _Building Regulations 2018_

**Qualifications**

**Mandatory**
- **Experience**: 2-3 years in construction, with demonstrated plastering, painting and carpentry skills.
- **Certifications**:

- **Victorian Construction Induction Card (White Card)**:

- Valid driver’s license (required for site travel).
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in plastering techniques (e.g., skimming, rendering).
- Competency in carpentry (measuring, cutting, installing).

**Preferred**
- **Certifications**:

- **Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220)** or **Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining (CPC31220)**:

- **First Aid/CPR** (from a WorkSafe-recognised provider).
- **Experience**:

- Residential/commercial renovations.
