Your new role

Reporting to the Strategic Procurement Manager, the focus of this role is the development and implementation of category strategies in partnership with University stakeholders to deliver savings within the organisations policies. Key responsibilities include:
Spend and market analysis in support of category strategy
Development and roll-out of category and sourcing plans
Establishment and maintenance of strong internal relationships
Lead the strategic sourcing process including negotiation
Provision of commercial advice
Development and implementation of Supplier Relationship Management plans
Maintenance of the contract register and identifying contracts requiring action
Assist with the review and development of the procurement strategy

What you’ll need to succeed

Prior experience in a similar role or a role with demonstrably transferable skillsets
Knowledge and experience in strategic procurement and contract management
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
Knowledge and experience in negotiations with the ability to interpret contractual terms related to the procurement of goods, services and consultancy.
