We’re on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to assist with the reins at the iconic Mount Macedon Hotel; a true local gem known for its laid back vibe, friendly service, and great food and beverage offering.
**Role**
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced, confident leader to participate in a high-profile, high-volume pub and help share their own brand of operational excellence to the table.
You’ll be participating in the full spectrum of daily operations, food and beverage, events and customer experience and leading a small team of 20, including a structured management group and a junior crew that thrives under direct, clear guidance.
This isn’t a role for someone who waits for things to happen. You’ll need to bring presence, pace and a high level of personal accountability. The expectation is that you’re on the floor, tuned into the rhythm of the venue, and leading from the front.
You’ll also work closely with the General manager & social media and marketing lead to ensure the entertainment calendar continues to evolve. The venue has strong brand recognition, but there’s still room for fresh energy and direction from the right leader, someone who understands how to build momentum and keep it.
**The Person**
We’re looking for someone who leads with clarity and intent. You’re not afraid to make decisions, and your team knows exactly where they stand. You’re comfortable in fast-paced, multi-layered environments, and you understand the value of both structure and speed. You don’t micro-manage, but you do hold people to a high standard.
You’ve worked venues before. You understand the balance of food, beverage, events and compliance. You know how to manage labour, drive revenue, and create an environment that feels focused and professional. This isn’t a stepping-stone role, it’s for someone who’s already been at this level and is ready to lead with confidence.
Experience in entertainment-led venues or strong community pubs will be highly regarded.
**Operational Focus**:
- Lead day-to-day venue operations across F&B, functions, and entertainment
- Converse with General manager on venue financials, rostering and stock management
- Drive service standards, team structure, and accountability across the staff team
- Manage peak trade across multiple spaces with a strong presence
- Collaborate on marketing, promotions, and calendar planning to maintain venue momentum
- Strong leadership and team-building skills to inspire and motivate staff.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
