**About the role**

Are you passionate about environmental sustainability, behaviour change, and community engagement? The City of Canada Bay is looking for a motivated and experienced Litter Prevention Officer to help deliver our Litter Management and Prevention Plan 2025-2030 and lead strategic, high-impact initiatives to reduce litter across our city.

In this diverse and rewarding role, you'll work across education, enforcement, and community programs to create a cleaner, safer environment for our local community. You will lead grant-funded projects, engage with businesses and the broader community, and collaborate across Council teams to embed long-term behaviour change and environmental stewardship.

**Some of the key responsibilities**:

- Deliver key actions from Council’s Litter Action Plan and Roadmap
- Lead community education campaigns and enforcement activities
- Engage stakeholders, residents, and businesses in behaviour change programs
- Identify and monitor litter hotspots using data and fieldwork
- Manage grant-funded programs, including reporting and evaluation
- Represent Council at events and contribute to regional litter strategies

**What we're looking for**:

- Proactive team player, experienced in delivering environmental programs with a focus on litter, waste, or sustainability
- Creative thinker with strong internal and external stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to manage projects, grants, and regulatory responsibilities
- A collaborative approach and ability to influence behaviour change

**What’s on offer**

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $53,585 to $61,623 (for 21-hour week) + superannuation
