**About The Role**

This position is suitable for trainees wanting to gain experience prior to acceptance into a SET position in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and/or General Surgery.

The positions will entail 6-months Plastic Surgery and 6-months General Surgery.

General Surgery rotations will include a 3-months Nights/Relieving and a rotation in one of the following options:

- Colorectal Surgery
- General Endocrine Surgery
- General Surgery (Bacchus Marsh, Footscray, Sunshine & Werribee Mercy)
- Upper GI Surgery
- Vascular Surgery

We have a strong focus on Supervision, Education and Support. All unaccredited trainees are expected to participate in the surgical education program and participate in research activities.

To be Successful in this Role you will:
Hold or be eligible for medical registration with AHPRA

Have completed a minimum of 3 years full time medical employment post internship (e.g. PGY3+)

Have completed at least 12 months of surgical experience/training (e.g. a surgical HMO year)
