**About the expression of interest**

Latrobe City Council is seeking to optimise the assets of our city and advocate for the future needs of the community. This is driven by the need to continue to support the ongoing economic transition, improve liveability and enhance the reputation of Latrobe City.

We invite expressions of interest from applicants with qualifications in Business, Strategy, Development or background in Communications, Policy and Public Relations who can showcase demonstrated experience in federal, state or local government stakeholder relations.

**Work and projects, you could be involved in**

As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, including:

- Be apart of the development and implementation of Latrobe City Council’s Advocacy strategy
- Facilitate relationships with Federal and State politicians, ministers and advisors in order to position Latrobe City Council priorities
- Work across internal units to develop and maintain a Latrobe City Council advocacy priority project list
- Support the advocacy and communications of the Latrobe City ‘Our Transition Plan’
- Develop State and Federal government budget bids and assist in the creation of advocacy plans for agreed priority projects
