- Duties & Responsibilities
- Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to the following:
- CORE FUNCTION¿ Ensuring that Oceaneering’s HSE Management System and expectations are fully implemented with Regional Operations and compliant with local regulations

¿ Carrying out a range of NDT inspection techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies etc., in order to establish acceptability to specification

¿ Carrying out the most effective NDT techniques to components requiring inspection

¿ Ensuring that the work area is safe to carry out NDT activities

¿ Ensuring inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification and procedures

¿ Evaluating results of the test in accordance with applicable specification and procedure

¿ Producing clear and concise reports detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection

¿ Ensuring any limitations of the inspection or deviations from the workscope are clearly documented and communicated to the Client/Coordinator at the earliest opportunity

¿ Carrying out work in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires

¿ Ensuring that HSE policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment

¿ Performing the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems of the Company

General

¿ Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems;
¿ Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems for the Company; and

¿ Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications and Training

¿ Secondary education in English, Maths and Science

¿ Relevant state Radiation Licence

¿ Welding Inspection (desirable)

¿ Coatings Inspection (desirable)

¿ ISO 9712 Level II in the following:

- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and
- Radiographic Testing (RT) and
- Magnetic Particle (MT) or Liquid Penetrant (PT)
- Plus a minimum of two of the following:
- Eddy Current Testing (ECT)
- Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
- Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD)

¿ TBOSIET

¿ Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)

Experience

¿ Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in operational environments as an NDT Technician

¿ Experience in all qualified testing methods

¿ Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing and inspection technology used by the Company performing NDT

¿ Experience in completing NDT worksheets and reports
- Required Skills and Aptitudes
- ¿ Advanced computer skills

¿ Knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry including related Legislation, Acts and Regulations, Industry Standards and Codes

¿ Knowledge of NATA requirements

¿ Familiar with QA/QC systems and procedures
