**The Role**
The Merchandiser is responsible for all areas inclusive of ordering, receiving, and supporting allocation, distribution, inventory control and sales support. The ultimate purpose of the Merchandiser is to support the stores of MUJI Retail (Australia) Pty Ptd in maximising and achieving the company sales, profit and objectives. The broader objectives of the role are to improve efficiencies in the merchandising processes by identifying and implementing changes for continuous improvement. A Merchandiser's responsibility includes but is not limited to:
- Strategically plan and execute merchandise product launches, promotions, strategies, seasonal changes, and determine pricing
- Analyse sales figures, customer reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges and stock to create sales forecast
- Conduct sales forecasting, budget management and sales performance analysis reports
- Communicate with 3PL and stores to meet customer orders and company requirements
- Frequently visit the stores to understand the current trend and support store operations
- Conduct product presentations, briefings and product knowledge training for stores
- Manage the inventory of your department
- Reporting

**Skills and Experiences**
- Diploma and/or Tertiary Qualification in Business or Merchandising is highly desirable
- Previous experience working within the Merchandising and/or Inventory Control function within the Retail Industry is highly desirable
- Intermediate PC skills, Excel and MS Office suite
- Ability to build rapport with various staff at all levels
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills
- Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers
- Problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Analytical skills
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $70,000.00 per year
