As a private home and community support worker for the elderly, and adults living with a disability, your role will be crucial in ensuring our client's well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Working in our clients' homes and local community, and depending on your experience and qualifications, your primary duties may include:
**Companionship**: Building a strong and supportive relationship with the client through engaging conversations and shared activities.

**Assistance with Daily Activities**: Helping with tasks like dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting while respecting the client's dignity and promoting independence.

**Mobility Support**:Assisting the client with walking, transferring, and physical activities to ensure safety and prevent falls.

**Transportation**:Providing transportation for the client to medical appointments, social outings, or other necessary destinations.

**Light Housekeeping**:Maintaining a clean and organized living environment, including light housekeeping and laundry duties.

**Medication Reminders**: Ensuring the client takes their prescribed medications on time as directed.

**Observation and Reporting**: Monitoring the client's health and behavior, and promptly reporting any changes to appropriate parties.

**Requirements**:
No prior caregiving experience is required; we will provide comprehensive training.

Qualifications are not necessary; however, a caring and empathetic nature is essential. (Cert 3 in Aged/Disability/Community is required to undertake personal care activities)

Compassion and patience to provide the highest level of care and support to the elderly and people living with a disability.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with the client and their family members.

Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role, which may include assisting with mobility.

This is a sub-contract role and you will need to hold an ABN.

You will need to gain a National Criminal Check clearance upon commencement.

You will need a reliable and registered Motor Vehicle.

Flexible scheduling options to accommodate your availability and work/life balance.

Training and continuous support to enhance your caregiving skills.

A fulfilling and meaningful experience of making a positive difference in an other individual's life.

**Job Type**: Subcontract

**Salary**: $46.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)

- Sunshine Coast, QLD (preferred)
