**The Position**

**St John of God Bendigo Hospital **is a private hospital located in central Victoria. St John of God Health Care acquired Mt Alvernia Mercy Hospital in February 2005, renaming it St John of God Bendigo Hospital. The private hospital services the City of Bendigo and Central Victoria.
- The hospital recognises the importance of making sure patient’s health care is planned around their individual health needs. The catering team play an important role in delivering this through the delivery of nutritional meals to patients.
- We are currently looking for reliable, friendly and enthusiastic
- **Food Service Assistants** who are dedicated to exceptional service to provide a professional hospitality service in line with the St John of God Health Care values.
- Positions are offered on a casual basis, working a variety of shifts.
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Food handling skills including hygiene standards
- Basic knowledge of all areas of kitchen hygiene
- Ability to use initiative, demonstrate reliability and work with mínimal supervision and guidance.
- Problem solving abilities
- Be positive and professional at all times
- Prioritise work, work to a set schedule
- Promote and encourage teamwork and effective communication with all staff
