**About the role**:
We're looking for dedicated individual to join our team in an Education Support Traineeship. This role, ideal for those passionate about assisting secondary school students, requires providing top-notch care and support to students and teachers. The position involves working Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, from **8:45 am to 3:30 pm**, in a classroom setting with vulnerable students.

**About you**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to follow instructions from teachers as well as use initiative
- Compassionate, caring and patient
- Capable of providing physical and emotional support to students
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willing to attend RTO/TAFE training located in **Deer Park during school holidays**:

- Valid Victorian Working with Children Check
- Able to commit to a 12 month Traineeship

**What you will do**:

- Offering regular assistance to teaching/school staff members
- Helping in the organization of students' daily schedules
- Interacting with students to facilitate understanding of simple tasks and details
- Responding to immediate behavioral issues of certain students in a classroom, following school guidelines
- Delivering fundamental oversight and guidance to individual students or small groups (maximum of four) in a classroom environment
