Shipping Worker

We are looking to further grow our production team with the addition of a Shipping Worker

The person should be interested in long-term employment, have a strong work ethic, be safety focused and be able to work as part of a team.

**Primary Job Responsibilities**
- Load and pack trucks with steel/materials scheduled for shipment
- Receive and take receipt of goods/materials/tools that are allocated to shipping.
- Load & unload materials requiring or returning from surface treatment (galvanising/painting).
- Assist with the safe and secure packing and unpacking of materials for the purpose of shipping.
- Carry out washing, painting and packing of steel components/pole sections.
- General packing of steel components and hardware, with consideration of safety and quality standards.
- Checking of steel components/hardware, matching items with job listing (Quantity, length, weight).
- Checking of steel components for rust, deformities and defections.
- General repairs, touch-up or adjustments to outgoing steel products.
- Monitoring, and tracking of movement of packed job lots ensuring they are clearly identifiable as part of a job group
- General cleaning of the yard area and factory area, ensuring the workplace is both safe and clean.
- Traveling off-site for deliveries and pickup and packing of goods.

**Required skills, experience, and qualifications**
- Forklift Licence
- C Class Manual Drivers Licence
- Meticulous checking skills
- Adequate numeracy and literacy skills to complete load calculations and documents accurately
- Safe handling of materials, loading and unloading and safe use of equipment used.
- Strong attention to detail, quality and safety.

**Desirable skills, experience, and qualifications**
- Dogging Ticket
- HR Licence.
