At Uniting, we’re not looking for someone to maintain the status quo—we need a visionary leader who’s all about making things better, faster, and smarter. Our team handles up to 220,000 invoices and payments annually, over 13,000 queries from internal, external and vendor stakeholders.

We need an AP Manager who’s not just comfortable with change but who actively seeks it out, turning challenges into opportunities.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Lead, inspire, guide and mentor the Accounts Payable and Expense Management teams, ensuring they have the skills and motivation to excel.
- You love to innovate, improve and identify opportunities for process efficiencies and system improvements, particularly within Microsoft D365 and Power BI.
- Oversee month-end activities, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately accounted for and reported.
- Partner with procurement and other stakeholders to enhance the entire procure-to-pay process.

**Who You Are**:

- A strategic thinker with 6+ years of experience managing large teams in complex, high-volume environments.
- A process improvement enthusiast with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in driving change.
- An expert in accounting principles, ERP software (Microsoft D365 preferred), and analytical tools like Excel and Power BI.
- A natural leader who’s organised, detail-oriented, and always looking to upskill your team, you always have your team's back and are a considerate manager, keeping in mind Uniting's values of Compassionate, Respectful, Imaginative and Bold.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- CA or CPA qualified preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in shared service environments, managing large volumes of transactions.
- Strong business partnering experience with a deep understanding of the procure-to-pay process.
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a BAU role whilst also driving and implementing systems and process improvements
