**The Role**

The accounts receivable officer reports to the Project Cost Controller and is part of the Company's finance team. The role ensures we invoice our clients for services provided, in a timely manner.

The duties include:

- preparing invoices;
- preparing progress claims and invoice backup;
- distributing invoices to customers;
- maintaining customer accounts;
- processing customer purchase orders;
- assisting the Project Cost Controller in project administration tasks;
- liaising with project managers;
- reconciling project assignments;
- processing timesheets;
- attending to client queries.

You will also assist other members of the Finance team as required.

To perform the role well, you should have the following skills and aptitudes:

- Successful completion of year 12;
- Microsoft Excel skills at an intermediate level;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software;
- Ability to work effectively, constructively and successfully as part of a team;
- Attention to detail to ensure data is entered accurately;
- Task focused;
- Effective organisational and planning skills;
- Demonstrated commitment to quality;
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

- Previous project administration experience;
- Previous experience using accounting software;
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or a Diploma of Accounting at TAFE or another registered training organisation
