Doncaster Gardens Primary School is a seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic Education Support staff member to work closely with a student with special needs.

Our School:
Doncaster Gardens is situated in an established eastern residential suburb of Melbourne. The school is in a restricted enrolment zone with an enrolment of approximately 790 students. We celebrate and embrace our truly multicultural school community with our students originating from 33 different nationalities. The school also caters for a small number of international students.

Our school SFOE is.15 and there are approximately 70 staff in a mixture of full time and part time roles. The school currently has 34 classes and Specialist classes consisting of Music, Performing Art (Music and Drama), Physical Education, Visual Arts and LOTE (Chinese Mandarin). Extension classes in Numeracy in addition to Literacy Support and English as a Second Language provide opportunities for students to 'be their best¿. Extra curricula opportunities such as Dancing, Chess, Tennis, Choir, Orchestra, Instrumental Music, Tennis and Basketball tap into student¿s passions and build strong, confident citizens. The development of a STEAM Centre enables teams to access the Maker Space and ICT Centre each week whilst a BYOD program for Year 3
- 6 students provides opportunities for Robotics, Coding and a multifaceted approach to learning.

An education support class position at this range will perform tasks that are carried out in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy under supervision and direction. This may include coordination of other education support class staff within the work area or educational program.

An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students but must not include duties of a teacher as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the _Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic)_ or its successor.
