**About the Role**:
The Case Management Officer is responsible for coordinating Incident Management Directorate's (IMD) response on matters involving external agencies and allegations of sexual misconduct.

The Officer provides expert advice and contributes to the development of the Department’s policy in response to reported critical incidents and allegations of sexual misconduct. The Officer advises IMD’s panels and committees on complex critical incidents through sensitive inquiries and qualitative analysis of evidence, that supports the effective risk assessment of serious misconduct matters or potential risks to the safety of children and young people.

The Officer prepares high level communications, briefings and documents that are capable of withstanding internal and external scrutiny in line with organisation and government policy, common law and legislative standards. The work is challenging and highly sensitive. Staff within IMD must maintain high levels of confidentiality, professionalism and ethical conduct.

**Qualifications**:
Desirable:

- Qualification in legal services or law and/or Legal or para legal experience.
- Appropriate tertiary or postgraduate qualification in child protection.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO7 $108,109 - 116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
