Club Charlestown is a leading bowling club in the Lake Macquarie Region. Boasting an undercover bowls facility, 3 function rooms, a 7-day bistro and an alfresco dining area, the Club is a hub for our community and 12,000 members.
We are currently seeking a passionate cellar person to join our bar team on a casual basis. Shifts are set weekly and are Tuesday to Friday from 7am-12pm. The Club is currently undergoing full bar renovations and cellar/beer line upgrades (set to be completed in April 2025), so now is a great time to jump on board to be part of our team
**About the position**:
Shifts are set weekly, Tuesday
- Friday from 7am-12pm. For someone wanting additional hours, shifts are available upstairs in the bar and gaming room.
On a day-to-day basis, the cellar person would be responsible for:
- Maintaining all bar service areas including the overseeing of the maintenance of glass chillers, fridges, taps, post mix and keg couplers
- Maintain and rotate stock levels in all areas and placing orders with suppliers
- Receiving all Club deliveries, entering invoices into the system where required
- Rotate gas bottles and gas flow systems on a regular basis
- Participate in the creation of the beverage menu and product offerings, working with the beverage manager.
**The right person for the role**:
- Demonstrated experience in cellar operations including beer line, glass chiller, fridge and tap maintenance, or a bar person with a sound foundation looking to develop on these skills
- Experience in ordering stock and working to par levels
- Has a current NSW drivers’ licence
- Has a current NSW RSA
- Is physically fit and can lift, bend and push without issue for up to 5 hours at a time
- Has experience working to WHS guidelines.

Pay: From $32.49 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week

**Experience**:
- Cellar: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- NSW RSA (preferred)
