At Walloon State School, located just 15 minutes west of Ipswich, in a semi-rural setting, you will become part of a school with a rich heritage. Since 1877, we have been committed to providing modern education while fostering a deep connection with our community. Collaboration is at the core of our philosophy, and as a team member, you will have one hour per week of Professional Learning Community (PLC) time to plan and learn with your colleagues this is on top of your allocated NCT. We firmly believe in the potential of every student to improve, and student growth is our ultimate goal.
We also recognize the importance of childhood and actively encourage risky and nature play. Our approach is to manage risk, not avoid it, and we empower both students and staff to step outside their comfort zones and into the courage zone.

rom artificial creeks and a sand lagoon to a timber adventure playground, low ropes course, scooter track, and nature play zone, our facilities foster creativity, curiosity, and active engagement.
Additionally, we provide specialty programs such as High Ropes, Playgroup, and the Athlete Development Academy (ADA).

- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. - Attach your current CV including contact details of two professional referees (one of whom is your current supervisor) and a maximum 2 page written response outlining your suitability for the role under "How You Will Be Assessed"
- Pre-service teachers are encouraged to include completed practicum reports, mentor/referee statements, unofficial academic transcript for current course of study
