Lead, manage, and motivate a team of educators

**About the role**
You will experience specialist support from a diverse and caring team, as you drive community and family engagement, with children at the heart of your service philosophy.

As the Room Leader role will involve:

- Leading, managing, and motivating appointed room staff to achieve the objectives of the Centre and support staff in their development
- Assisting with the mentoring of permanent and casual employees
- Following an approved curriculum, where you will be a role modeling for children in developing lifelong skills and instilling in them a passion for learning
- Making lessons captivating and enjoyable for individuals and small groups of children
- Delivering consistent high-quality practice of the National Quality Framework
- Ensuring that records are maintained accurately for each child in care

This is a full time opportunity at Mernda YMCA Early Learning Centre.

The hourly rate is $29.17 - $30.05.

**Qualifications required**
- Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Early Childhood / Children’s Services or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification
- Working with Children Card

**About the Centre**
We offer early learning programs for children between six weeks to five years old. We support, nurture and encourage your child’s development through early education and evidence-informed practice that emphasises discovery and adventure. Mernda YMCA Early Learning Centre is co-located with Mernda Park Primary School, in Mernda, Victoria. Our convenient co-location offers a single pick-up and drop-off point for busy parents with children at both the primary school and our centre. We’re a 10 minute drive from Mernda train station and Mernda Village.
