We have an exciting opportunity for a School Crossing Supervisor to join our team and play a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of young students.

As a School Crossing Supervisor, you will assist school children and other pedestrians to cross at established children’s crossings and traffic lights.

**About the role:
- Supervising children and pedestrians at children’s crossings and traffic lights during nominated hours on school days
- Be correctly attired and equipped at all times whilst performing the duties of a School Crossing Supervisor
- Maintaining a high level of awareness, professional behaviour and conduct
- Strict adherence to relevant policies and procedures including the VicRoads Instructions for Children’s Crossing Supervisors and Banyule Employee Code of Conduct
- Travel flexibility to work at any allocated crossings with the municipality
- This is the right role for you if you enjoy working outdoors, meeting new people, and working short hours

**Skills and experiences**:

- Experience working at a Children's Crossing
- Have a high level of awareness and an ability to judge traffic flow
- Be able to work with children specifically and the wider public in general
- Understand the relevant traffic laws
- The ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift/carry crossing equipment
- The ability to work in any weather condition.
- The ability to work without supervision
