**SNSW Grade**:11/12 - base salary range from $157,569 - $189,561 plus 11.5% superannuation and leave loading
**Employment Type**:Ongoing, Full time
**Location**: Haymarket or Parramatta. In-office presence is required three days a week, with some hybrid working arrangements.
**This role sits within the Partnership, Projects and Insights Division in Service NSW team.**
We have an exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal Principal Advisor Aboriginal Service Design.
**About the team**
The Aboriginal Service Design team provide expert advice across Service NSW to ensure new programs are designed in an inclusive and culturally sensitive way for Aboriginal customer cohorts.**
**In this role, you will**:
- Provide portfolio-wide advisory function for new initiatives with the aim of ensuring initiatives identify relevant Aboriginal stakeholder groups and address improvement of outcomes and services for Aboriginal customer cohorts
- Advise on scoping of approach to Aboriginal customer cohort as part of customer care strategy pipeline development
- Provide expert and culturally appropriate advice on stakeholder engagement with Aboriginal communities for business initiatives
- Advise on work associated with Aboriginal Employment Strategy to ensure the Strategy is culturally appropriate.
- Provide advice on ongoing Aboriginal customer engagement work under the divisions Cultural Program to ensure the implementation approach is culturally sensitive.
- Lead the divisions engagement with the Department of Customer Service’s work relating to Aboriginal customer and employee outcomes under the Aboriginal Customer Engagement Strategy.
- Develop strategic and targeted approaches to engagement, collaboration, and innovation to create improved value for the division and Aboriginal communities aligned with organisational and government objectives.
- Lead the knowledge sharing of Aboriginal and cultural information to support divisional staff in their efforts to effectively consult and educate, industry participants and Aboriginal communities
**About you**
**To be successful in this role, you will**:
- Identify as a person of Aboriginal descent, including submission of supporting document for family’s Aboriginal descent and acceptance by their local Aboriginal community as a person of Aboriginal descent
- Have Understanding and experience of service design principles for Aboriginal customer cohorts
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities
**What we need from you**:
An up-to-date CV and a brief cover letter of no more than 2 pages which clearly details your skills and experience as relevant to this role along with evidence of Aboriginality.
Aboriginal as defined by the Aboriginal Lands Rights Act 1983 (NSW) is a person who:
- Identifies as a person of Australian Aboriginal descent
- Presents documentation identifying their family’s Aboriginal descent
- Is accepted by their local Aboriginal community as a person of Aboriginal descent.
**This role is for the employment of an Aboriginal person in line with the Department’s Aboriginal Employment Strategy.**
Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $157569 base plus superannuation
