**Who We are**:
Cutting Edge Post Production is looking for a Post & VFX IT Systems Manager to join its
Sydney team.

**About the Role**:
You will be responsible for effects based projects, complex simulations and particles, film
- level character rigging and to identify potential strategies and Crowd work.
**Your key duties and responsibilities will be, but are not limited to**:
- Work with the Head of Production, VFX Supervisors and VFX to define the creative
and technical approach for projects
- Identify areas of R&D required for projects
- Work with the Head of Production to manage the day to day running of the VFX team
- Work with Producers to evaluate artist schedules ensuring they are realistic and
achievable
- Provide feedback on workflows/approvals to team
- Identify inefficiencies or technical problems with the toolset and pipeline, and put in
place a plan of action to resolve such issues
- Ensure that all work carried out on projects fits within pipelines and meets clients
expectations
- Supervise and mentor your team
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the render pipeline
- Work with the VFX team and VFX Producers to create FX work and Light and render
3D
- Responsible for the creation of completed rendered elements
- Work on pitch material
- Back up nuke compositor
- Work closely with compositors to finish selected shots for seamless integration with
live-action plates
- Pipeline contributor
**Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience**:
- A minimum of 4 years of CG leadership experience using Maya and vray on live
- action commercial or feature film productions
- Strong working knowledge of 3D software packages and pipelines
- Excellent problem solving skills
- An experienced and honed creative eye
- Knowledge of the entire production process, including stage shooting is preferred
- Ability to successfully delegate, mentor and manage people and projects
- Ability to understand client approval process
- Must have a sense of strong team dynamics and a positive morale generating style
