**About the Role**
Our client, a specialist tax law firm based in Brisbane, is looking for a dedicated **Tax Associate** to accelerate their career in a truly supportive setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with and learn from exceptional practitioners while honing your skills in both advisory and dispute matters covering Commonwealth and State taxes.
You’ll be engaged in:

- Providing expert taxation advice on transactions, structuring, and complex tax issues.
- Handling tax audits, private ruling requests, objections and dispute matters that have progressed to Courts and Tribunals.
- Working closely with a diverse client base—including high net worth private groups, operators in aged care and retirement living, property developers, not-for-profit organisations, and trusted referrers from the accounting and legal fields.

This position is ideal for experienced tax lawyers or tax specialists from large accounting firms aiming to qualify as lawyers and advance in practice. **Experience and Qualifications**
- Relevant tax law experience in both advisory and dispute resolution matters.
- Proven track record with high net worth clients or within sectors like aged care, property development, or not-for-profit organisations.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex tax issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a consultative approach to client service.
- Experience as a tax lawyer or a tax specialist from a larger accounting firm is highly desirable.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for technical excellence.
