**About us**

In 2020, Calvary and Medibank formed a joint venture to deliver an innovative, integrated virtual hospital that leverages a Virtual Care Centre (VCC) to deliver hospital-level care for patients within in the comfort of their homes.

The Calvary Medibank Joint Venture (CMJV) which has cared for over 200,000 patients across five states, including delivering COVID Care at Home and SA Health’s My Home Hospital service. The CMJV has become one of the first standalone virtual hospitals delivering acute care to be nationally accredited to the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.

**About this opportunity**

The Consultant position oversees and provides patient care and applies medical knowledge and experience in the clinical diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and ongoing management of patients admitted to MHH.

Make your mark in the burgeoning field of virtual care as a Specialist Consultant. The CMJV operates an innovative and exciting virtual hospital, with which is based in Adelaide, South Australia, but has a medical workforce across Australia.

Benefits are multiple and My Home Hospital is looking to employ doctors on a fixed term contract basis with superannuation and leave entitlements. The organisation does not utilise Medicare and you will work in a team of dedicated doctors, nurses, paramedics, and administrative staff to deliver exceptional care.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, our Consultants work 8 hour shifts across a 7-day roster between 7am and 10pm. Consultants are also expected to participate on an on-call 7-day roster. We offer both part time and full-time opportunities.

**About You**

Fully registered as a Specialist with AHPRA you have at least 5 years’ experience. We are looking to employ Senior Specialist Consultants with an interest in new and innovative healthcare technology. We deem Senior Specialist Consultants to be all medical practitioners with at least 5 years’ worth of experience post fellowship in the field of specialty that they work. Specialist consultants with a FACEM, FRACGP, FRACRRM, FRACP will be considered. Consultants with experience in geriatric medicine, general medicine and those with a high proficiency when using technology and telehealth services will be prioritised.

You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a high level of professionalism, ability to relate well with people of all interests, background and abilities and show a commitment to delivering exemplary care to our patients.
