Mc Linehaul Driver

**About The Role**:
At BagTrans, we are looking for a full-time MC Linehaul/Changeover Driver to join our Eastern Creek depot, supporting our interstate operations and major contracts. You’ll be joining an experienced transport team, operating a fleet of brand-new Mercedes automatic prime movers (630hp and 580hp), with HPV Trailers (30 meters / 4.6 meters high).

In this role, you’ll handle scheduled Monday to Friday, afternoon and evening departures, typically between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm, with a route to Tarcutta for a truck walkover before returning. Your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient transport of customer goods, requiring a high level of skill and experience in operating heavy commercial vehicles (with a gross vehicle mass over 4.5 tonnes).

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring the safe and efficient handling of freight for on time deliveries
- Completing pre-start checklists, safety documentation, and all relevant delivery paperwork
- Working with the depot teams for the safe loading, unloading and transportation of freight
- Operating prime movers in various configurations as needed
- Performing the route from Sydney to Tarcutta (Walkover) and back
- Upholding a professional image on the road an adhering to BagTrans driving standards
- Demonstrating a strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) principles and thorough knowledge of road transport legislation

**About you**:

- A valid MC licence with at least 3 years of experience driving linehaul/ changeover
- Familiarity with freight delivery paperwork and in-cab data systems
- Knowledge of road, fatigue, and load restraint regulations
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills
- Thorough understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements,
- Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation (preferred but not essential)
- Dangerous Good (DG) Ticket and experience transporting dangerous good (preferred but not essential)
- provide a current Driving History Record
- Be flexible with afternoon/ evening of start and finish times
- Satisfactorily complete all pre-employment checks, including reference verification, criminal history review, and a medical assessment with Drug & Alcohol testing.
- Must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or permanent resident.
