The role will contribute and lead the development and execution of both local and occasionally regional buying strategies for the business. The role will lead the sourcing strategy for the segments to deliver sustainable cost savings programs for the business. The role may have local accountability as well as supporting specific regional strategies.** **The role will have responsibility for packaging (corrugate, cartons, poly, trays and film) co-manufacturing.

**About the role**

Strategic Sourcing, Category and Risk Management
- Own the sourcing and contracting strategy for all categories including market and industry analysis, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing activities, risk management, analysis, negotiations, contracting and implementation
- Provide deep category insight and expertise through understanding of costs, cost drivers, market, industry and supplier variables

Sustainable Cost Advantage Delivery
- Drive initiatives focusing on overall cost optimisation for categories being managed
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to execute initiatives and build a solid pipeline of opportunities

Business and Stakeholder Alignment
- Establish ongoing communication and process to ensure high levels of stakeholder engagement, participation and satisfaction
- Participate in stakeholder leadership teams for respective functional areas to build and maintain ongoing linkages with sourcing strategy, category management, supply base design and ongoing supplier relationship management

**About you**
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry in sourcing packaging and co-manufacturing on a Regional/Global basis and/or multi-countries or multi-plant basis at a minimum
- Background in negotiating with major packaging suppliers, should-cost modeling, commodity insight, and contract price mechanisms. Strong preference for experience in sourcing like categories.
- Project Management skills in managing Sourcing, Sustainable Cost Advantage, Value Engineering (SCA/VE), Emergency projects, and ensuring RACI in place
- Proven track record of successfully influencing and/or influencing change within a business
