Located in South Bowenfels, the Lithgow Campus is considered as a comprehensive community health centre supporting approximately 20,000 people living in the town and surrounding areas. The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.

An exciting Health Clinician role (Occupational Therapist Level 1/2, Social Worker Level 1/2, Counsellor Level 1/2 and Registered Nurse) has become available at Lithgow Community Health Centre on a Temporary Part time basis.

This role will see you will undertake Comprehensive Assessment and Treatment Planning for clients referred to the MERIT and Adult Drug Court Programs, whilst providing evidence-based counselling interventions and case management to clients of the Adult Drug Court and MERIT programs and provide detailed court reports, individual progress reports, case assessments and other relevant documentation as required.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Degree or post graduate degree and professional registration/membership in the following: Occupational Therapy (Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia), Social Work (Eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers AASW; Counsellor (Eligibility for full membership of the Australian Counselling Association ACA; Registered Nurse (APHRA registration)
- Demonstrated clinical experience in the provision of assessment and evidence-based interventions for alcohol and other drug using clients
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders, with a particular focus on Local Health District services, Criminal Justice System, and community-based support services
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team in providing drug and alcohol services to court mandated clients
- Proven high quality computer literacy, written and verbal communication including the preparation of court reports and clinical notes
- Experience in, or commitment to, working with individuals and families from Indigenous backgrounds and/or diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
