About the role

We operate in a diverse, fast-moving environment In this role you will enjoy being a part of our Training team based at Head Office in Smithfield.

In this role, no two days will ever be the same and you will enjoy being hands on and interacting with a range of stakeholders within the business.

The responsibility for this role is split between providing technical/product warranty support and training. This role would require regular travel across Australia.

**Further, this role includes**:
Providing nationwide helpdesk support to Hydraulink staff, its customers, and Network Partners on all technical and product related enquiries.
Providing technical assistance and support to the Sales Team and other areas of the business as needed.
Cataloguing and indexing of technical information, production of manuals, and reports.
Managing all product related warranties across Australia.
Delivering various training programmes offered by Hydraulink to its staff, customers, and network partners across Australia.
Collecting and maintaining participants training records after each training event.
Assisting with administering and developing Hydraulink’s Learning Management System.
Assisting with the ongoing development and design of industry leading technical and other general training programmes across all functional areas in accordance with Hydraulink’s Learning and Development Strategy.

About the person

We are looking for an individual with hydraulic or mechanical exposure. You may be a hydraulic hose technician looking for a change in career or someone with experience in mechanical trade looking to get off the tools.

**To succeed in the role we are looking for someone with**:
A minimum 2 years working experience with hydraulic hoses and fittings or in the hydraulic, pneumatic or motion control industry.
Well-developed presentation, communication and training delivery skills.
Ideally however not essential, prior experience in delivery and evaluation of engineering related technical learning programmes, including competency assessment.
Confident with an outward personality with the ability to build rapport with training participants whilst conducting training programs in a classroom or onsite setting.
Capable of trouble shooting and assessing product performance and warranty issues and developing investigation reports and recommendations
Computer literate with Microsoft 365 and ability to understand CAD drawings.
Excellent task management capabilities including well developed time management, attention to detail and administration skills.
Able to travel across Australia as required to meet the needs of the business.
Comfortable working with equipment and tools during training sessions

**Qualifications**:
Mandatory - Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hoses and fittings industry or has completed a mechanical trade qualification and possess working experience in the hydraulic, pneumatic or motion control industry.
Preferred - A Certificate IV Training & Assessment - TAE40116 or experience developing and/or delivering training will be highly regarded but not mandatory.
