Aegis Aged Care have several vacancies for experienced Kitchen Hands / Cleaner working at our two Facility:
**Hermitage**

Located in the heart of the **Ellenbrook** Community, Aegis Hermitage caters for up to 120 residents and provides Low, High and Dementia specific care. Aegis Hermitage also provides a modern working environment for staff.

**Parkview**

Located in the heart of **Redcliffe**, Aegis Parkview caters for up to 79 residents. Aegis Parkview provides high quality care services in a secure and friendly living environment; this modern purpose-built Facility supports our residents’ every need and enables choices in daily living activities.

**About You**

As a Kitchen Hand / Cleaner you are a valuable member of the team working able to work efficiently with mínimal supervision as required, and as part of the team. Someone that is reliable, proactive with a high attention to cleaning details.

A working day will involve:

- Preparing resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
- Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.
- Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

- Enjoys working with the elderly.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
- Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

You should possess the following:

- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
- Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
- A knowledge of food safety.
- Knowledge of infection control principles and commercial cleaning operations, including the safe use of chemicals.
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
