About the Commissioner Resources Safety and HealthThis independent office ensures the safety and well-being of Queensland's invaluable resources workforce by overseeing the performance and health of the resources safety regulator, Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ). Established as an independent office under the Resources Safety and Health Act 2020, the Commissioner for Resources Safety and Health leads the charge, engaging with stakeholders across mining, quarrying, explosives, and petroleum and gas sectors, to promote and safeguard the welfare of those affected by industry operations.
