Aditionally, you will create and maintain departmental & leave rosters for the Pathology Queensland - SCUH laboratory ensuring applicable Award parameters are maintained ensuring all amendments, adjustments, rosters and rostered shifts are submitted to the District Payroll department in a relevant timeframe.

Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:

- Demonstrated skills, or the ability to acquire skills in utilising human resources, payroll, audit and financial systems and processes.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, negotiation, communication and consultation skills to support a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, advise and implement relevant Queensland Health legislation, policies and processes applicable to this position including recruitment and selection.
- A demonstrated commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behaviour.

Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded
- In some circumstances and following consultation, Queensland Health staff may be required to participate in 24 hour shift or on-call arrangements.
- To be eligible for permanent appointment to Pathology Queensland applicants must provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency. To be eligible for temporary appointment applicants must provide proof that they can legally work in Australia.
- Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements
- It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19 (Health Employment Directive No. 12/21 and Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
- It will be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella and Varicella.
- Additional vaccinations including Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies may also be required for this position.
