Technical Officer

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Technical Officer to support the Gas Transmission delivery team in safely operating and maintaining the Gas Transmission assets, Renewable Gases and Distribution systems.

**About the role**:

- Support project works including design input and review, HAZOP and HAZID attendance, integration into existing facilities and commissioning
- Assist with technical support and project coordination
- Work with engineering and technicians to resolve complex technical field issues
- Organising resources as required
- Carryout facility auditing
- Respond to incidents and assist team members in emergency response situations
- Maintain inventory of all Plant and Equipment
- Delivery of Corrective works program
- Provide technical support for all Hot tap & Line stopping activities
- Being able to drive safety culture and implement safety processes and systems to ensure consistently safe delivery of work

**About you**:

- Mechanical & Instrumentation experience and aptitude in the gas industry
- Ability to lead maintenance activities to ensure effective quality completion of work
- Capable of planning work and organise resources
- Prioritise work and respond immediately to changing circumstances and demands
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Ability to use your initiative
- Self-starter with good interpersonal skills
- Willing to work in teams, but able to work effectively as an individual

You will require the following qualifications:

- Mechanical/Engineering trade qualification
- Certificate in Instrumentation & Control (Cert III or above)
- Hot Tap & Line stopping Qualified
- Valid Driver’s licence
- Hazardous Area awareness qualified
