**Position**: Home Care Worker
**Classification**: SCHADS Level 1, Pay Point 1
**Location**: North side of Brisbane
**Reports To**: Bookings Clerk

**Position Summary**:
As a Home Care Worker Level 1, you will provide essential support services to clients in their homes. Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, fostering a safe, clean and comfortable environment, and promoting the dignity and independence of each client.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist clients with personal care tasks
- Support clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions, needs or requirements.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols.
- Respect client confidentiality and uphold the rights and dignity of each individual.

**Qualifications**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in a home care or community support role is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Kind, Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting individuals with diverse needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Working Conditions**:

- Flexible working hours, and recurring shifts.
- Travel to clients’ homes within the designated area.

Pay: From $31.46 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

**Benefits**:

- Travel reimbursement

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Rotating roster

Supplementary Pay:

- Annual bonus
- Penalty rates

- NDIS Worker Clearance (Yellow Card) or able to obtain (preferred)
