**About the role**
The Eastern Consortia of Alcohol and Drug Services’ (ECADS Intake service is a critical entry point into the Victorian AOD service system and support the movement of existing AOD clients through the system. The Intake Worker will be part of a team that works closely with the statewide screening and referral service and other treatment providers to facilitate client intake, triage, and referral to treatment, including the use of brief interventions and bridging support as required. Intake services also support families and significant others of people with AOD issues.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Qualifications in AOD studies
- Certificate IV in AOD or have completed the core competencies in AOD and Dual Diagnosis (or able to
complete within the first 24 months of employment
- Experience in the Alcohol and Drug sector
- Experience in the provision of intake and assessment
- Experience in the provision of phone-based support
- Demonstrated experience in utilising brief education and counselling interventions.
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
