**ROLE DETAILS**

**Location**:Fitzroy North, VIC

**Days**:Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

**Hours**:8am - 6pm (with a 10:30am start on Thursdays)

**Child**:18 month old

**Salary**:$62,000-70,000 per year + Super + paid leave entitlements

**Start date**: early March (slightly flexible).

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**
- Permanent Australian Residency
- Valid Working With Children Check
- Valid First Aid and CPR
- Long-term experience working with toddlers/preschoolers
- Drivers Licence (preferable, but not essential)
- 2 exceptional references for us to call.

**ROLE DESCRIPTION**
This family is eagerly seeking a new long-term nanny to care for their daughter just under 38 hours per week. Their ideal is to secure someone who will stay until their daughter is in primary school. They love and value a nanny's place in their family, and their current nanny is retiring. Their number one priority is for their nanny to genuinely enjoy and understand young children.

The right person for this role will support family routines and will be proactive with an understanding of child development to adjust to the child's needs as she grows, communicating openly and respectfully with the parents. The toddler is active, with a determined and playful personality, so the ideal nanny will use experience and creativity to encourage positive behaviours and facilitate age-appropriate activities in the home and community.

This is a child-focused role, but the Nanager should be helpful in the household. The parents are flexible to accept support based on their new Nanager's strengths and preferences, but ideally would like help with some laundry and food prep for their daughter (they aim for nutritious, primarily homemade food).

**ABOUT THE FAMILY**
Two professional parents, mum works full-time outside of the home and dad works part-time primarily from home. His office is in a separate space from the rest of the household so he is not a distraction while the nanny is there (Tuesdays are his one-on-one days with his daughter). Family is important to them, with relatives living nearby. The household also includes the family's cat.

Their 18 month old daughter loves attending a few classes throughout the week and adventuring to the zoo, museum, playgrounds, and playgroups. She will appreciate her nanny's engagement and also the ability to socialise with other children. At home she enjoys singing, laughing, and reading.
