**Job Description**:
The newly established Transforming Corrections to Transform Lives (TCTL) Centre is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow who will make a major contribution to research design, data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and dissemination of findings, across the various work areas of the TCTL Centre. They will provide high level research assistance as directed by the TCTL Centre Director and leadership team.
Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting research that contributes to the objectives of the Transforming Corrections to Transform Lives Centre.
- Developing a good publication record (Grade 1) or maintaining a good publication record (Grade 2) in high impact, international, esteemed peer-reviewed journals.
- Managing the preparation and formulation of publications, presentations and research reports arising from programs, training, evaluations and other research and activities of the TCTL Centre.
- Supervising Research Assistants as required.
**Qualifications**:
The occupant of this position will hold a PhD or equivalent qualifications/work experience in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, criminology, education/training, social work, etc).
In addition to the above, you will have:
- Demonstrated development of a publication record (Grade 1) or well-established track record of publication in esteemed peer-reviewed journals (Grade 2).
- Demonstrated strong skills in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods and a demonstrated ability to conduct collaborative research in multidisciplinary and multi-institutional teams. Experience working with administrative data is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in research design, evaluations and field-based data collection, particularly with respect to working with criminal justice affected individuals or disadvantaged populations. Experience with correctional environments is desirable.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills and highly developed verbal and written communication skills. You will also have high-level organisational skills. You will be self-motivated and able to demonstrate a high level of individual initiative, discretion, attention to detail and judgement.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision to meet competing deadlines and work effectively as a team member.

Additional Information
**Salary Range**
The base salary for a Research Fellow (Grade 1) is in the range $78,437 - $91,879 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total package is in the range $91,771 - $107,498 per annum.
The base salary for a Research Fellow (Grade 2) is in the range $100,137 - $118,916 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total package is in the range $117,160 - $139,132 per annum.
