**Your part in The Wesley Hospital team**
- This position provides effective strategic, operational and professional leadership / management of a medium sized team of Speech Pathologists 50% of the time across Uniting Care’s tertiary hospitals.- This role is a critical member of the Allied Health Leadership Team and aims to ensure patient-focused, evidence based, effective and efficient Speech Pathology services. This position also provides high level clinical care 50% of the time at The Wesley Hospital.- Whilst the role reports directly to the Allied Health Manager at The Wesley Hospital, it also works closely and in collaboration with the Allied Health Manager, at St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, where members of the Speech Pathology team also provide a clinical service.**What makes a difference for us?**
- A Bachelor or Masters degree in Speech Pathology
- Current Certified Practicing Speech Pathology status with Speech Pathology Australia
- A postgraduate tertiary qualification in a clinical or health management field is highly desirable
- Demonstrated, relevant clinical experience in a comparable (acute hospital or ambulatory service) setting
- Competency in Tracheostomy
- Demonstrated high level ability to lead and manage a medium business unit that is focussed on providing services within a performance management and outcome driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability in innovative planning for future delivery of patient centred Speech Pathology services
- Demonstrated well developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills at a senior management level with clients, strategic partners and key stakeholders.
- Ability to provide authoritative counsel to relevant managerial and executive level stakeholders, both internally and externally, on complex service issues relevant to speech pathology services
