About the role
The Officer - Emergency Services and Community Mobilisation works with local, state and national stakeholders to build organisational capability.
Working with the Emergency Services team 3 days and the Community Mobilisation team 2 days the role acts to innovate, attract, engage and retain volunteers and members. This position focuses on:
- building strong member and volunteer engagement
- enhancing the readiness, capability, and engagement of Victorian Emergency Services volunteers, and supporting emergency operations
- strengthening of relationships and communications across sectors.
What you will bring
- Experience in the coordination, management, and supporting of volunteers and/or members within emergency services, volunteering or related fields.
- Sound collaboration and communication skills to effectively engage with volunteers and stakeholders and people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges in volunteer management.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritise tasks in high-pressure situations.
- Experience in negotiation and problem solving for volunteers and/or members.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate events.
- Strong commitment to Reconciliation.
- Drivers licence and WWCC required.

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $85,145.84 + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
