**Purpose of the Role**
**At the Sewing Basket, we sell donated fabrics, patterns, patchwork, embroidery materials, knitting, crochet yarn, haberdashery and more, while providing employment for people with disability. The driver at Sewing basket is responsible to provide reliable, safe transportation of Sewing Basket donations and products to stores, warehouse and other pick-up/drop-off locations as directed.

**Role Responsibilities**:
- Load designated merchandise and donations from and for stores into/out of The Sewing Basket Van
- Deliver designated items to specified locations during nominated times; unpack items as required; assist staff members to do the same when required
- Ensure delivery vehicle is presentable; assist in keeping storage areas in stores and warehouse organised as directed
- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service for all work-related matters; role model for and assist employees with disabilities to interact with all staff in a courteous and friendly manner
- Develop positive relationships with all staff to ensure maximum efficiency, effectiveness and a congenial atmosphere in stores and warehouse - Participate in training as directed
- Note, problem-solve, and advise on on-the-job issues arising
- Comply with Achieve Australia policies and guidelines
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current NDIS Worker Check
- Current First Aid certificate
- Ability to work well with colleagues, employees and volunteers
- Ability to carry and move items up to 30kgs
